About vibeheatmap
vibeheatmap is published by TrueSpan Works, an independent software company. Every week it counts what vibe coders and indie builders share on Reddit and turns it into a heatmap of what's being built, what's rising, and the tools behind it.
Why it exists
Most "what's trending in vibe coding" takes are anecdotes. But builders post their projects in public every day, in r/SideProject, r/vibecoding, r/SaaS, r/IMadeThis, r/chrome_extensions and more, so it's possible to count them instead. vibeheatmap reads those posts, works out what each project is, and counts them week by week: 44,392 projects since May 2026, sorted into 200 kinds of projects and 23 themes.
What you'll find here
- This week's edition: the heatmap, the fastest-rising and cooling kinds of projects, and standout examples.
- Tools: the AI coding tools, frameworks, hosting and services builders say they use.
- All groups and the archive of past weeks.
How it's made
An AI model reads each public post to describe the project and the tools it names; everything after that (grouping, counting, trends) is done by code, with the same rules every week. Each product is counted once, and the numbers are weighted so a change in one subreddit's moderation doesn't look like a trend. The full details, including the known gaps, are on the method page. Usernames are never shown; every project links back to its original Reddit thread.
